Business Requirements Analysis - In conjunction with the IT department and business managers of your organisation each application and data source will be evaluated to determine both a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and a Recovery Time Objective (RTO). RPO is the amount of data that can be lost before it affects the organisation, and RTO is the time it takes to recover and restart the server and application. This will provide the information required by NewDatum consulting to design a solution capable of recovering key IT infrastructure that will meet both recovery time and recovery point objectives.
Audit - An audit of systems deployed in your data center will identify roles and specific hardware and software configurations.
Monitor - Performance monitoring studies undertaken during normal business activities will provide key information required to size a disaster recovery solution.
Analyse - By analysing the information collected in relation to business requirements, platforms deployed, system utilisation and application type a successful strategy will be formulated that will meet both recovery time and recovery point objectives.
Report – A detailed report will provide options in relation to appropriate hardware platforms and software environments in respect to cost, density and scalability. It will list the RPO and RTO for each application and provide fully costed options to meet these objectives.
